Occupy loves Winston-Salem. That’s the message that Occupy members tried to convey when they met at Civic Plaza on Valentine’s Day.
The rally kicked off the group’s “99 Days” campaign in which they plan to hold events in each of the city’s eight wards during the next 99 days.
Occupy members handed out Hershey Kisses and pamphlets about various topics ranging from social justice to economic inequality. One Occupy member, Andrew Hobbs, dressed up as “Occupid,” complete with stretch pants and a plastic bow.
